In addition, The Mirror and Federal Way Chamber of Commerce are hosting forums for local candidates.
The action begins with judicial and city council primary candidates at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Federal Way High School. All candidates have confirmed attendance. Coverage will follow.
Judicial candidates invited to participate in the forum: James A. Santucci, Mark S. Knapp, Rebecca C. Robertson, Williams Jarvis, Michael Morgan and Matthew York.
Candidates for city council position 6 invited to participate: Troy J. Smith, Roger Freeman, David St. John, Lorie Wood and Diana Noble-Gulliford.
For early risers, a forum featuring seven candidates for King County executive will run 7:30 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 28. The Mirror will report the forum in real time online through a live Twitter feed.
Candidates for executive are Larry Phillips, Fred Jarrett, Stan Lippmann, Alan Lobdell, Susan Hutchison, Dow Constantine, Ross Hunter and Goodspaceguy.
No forum has been scheduled for SKFR board commissioner primary candidates: Jerry P. Harris, J. Roger Hershey and John Rickert. However, The Mirror has contacted the candidates for an interview.
On Aug. 1, The Mirror will make recommendations for candidates in the primary elections. These recommendations are intended to serve as a guide for voters when considering the candidates. Stay tuned.
