Man finds gun: At 8:45 p.m. Nov. 4 at 32924 Pacific Highway S., a reporting party said he found a black handgun in the bushes of his church as he was cleaning. Upon inspection, the handgun was found to be an Airsoft toy gun and it was wet from the rain. Police could not find any recent incidents in the area where the gun was used and no suspicious circumstances were involved. The gun was submitted for destruction. No known owner was found.

Domestic violence reported: At 2:13 p.m. Nov. 5 in the 31000 block of 42nd Place SW, a female told police she began dating a male a few days ago. A dispute began when he was flirting with her cousin. During the argument, he grabbed her by the arms and slapped her head. He was placed in custody and booked for assault.

Car sex reported: At 8:30 p.m. Nov. 5 in the 1100 block of S. Dash Point Road, police were dispatched to a lewd conduct incident. Subjects were having sex in a vehicle in a parking lot. An officer found a male and female in the backseat and they claimed they were not having sex, but were planning it. The male gave a false name and police discovered he had a warrant out of Federal Way for obstructing. The male was transported and booked into SCORE without incident and the female was released at the scene.

Juvenile runaway arrested: At 1:26 p.m. Nov. 7 at 1928 S. Commons, a woman reported her boyfriend’s child, who was wanted as a juvenile runaway and had a warrant, was at The Commons mall. Dispatch stated he had a current no bail warrant for dependency. Officers arrived and detained the juvenile without incident.

Son runs away for trading cards: At 2:15 p.m. Nov. 8 in the 1000 block of S. St., a woman reported her foster son as a missing person. She advised he might be off trying to find more Magic the Gathering trading cards. Staff at West Coast Sports Cards were informed he might be arriving at their store. When he did arrive three hours later, police were called and the boy was escorted home without incident.

Homeless man robs helper: At 11 a.m. Nov. 9 in the 2200 block of S. Star Lake Rd., a man reported he allowed a homeless man to stay at his residence for the past two days. He took a nap and left the man in the living room with his wallet. When he woke up he observed the man was gone and he was missing $40 and an Orca bus pass from his wallet. Police ran the name the homeless man gave the victim but could not find him.

Sex offense: At 7:21 p.m. Nov. 9 in the 100 block of S. Third St., a woman reported that her 14-year-old daughter was video chatting an unknown male via Skype on Nov. 8 and the daughter took off her clothing at the man’s request during the video chat. She told police the girl was naked for approximately 10-15 minutes while the chat was being broadcast. The 14-year-old refused to go into detail about the chat itself, but said that the next day she was again chatting the male and he told her in the chat that he had recorded the previous video chat while was naked. She said he threatened to post it on the internet if she did not do it again, but she refused. The girl could only provide police the male’s Skype ID. She said she thought he said he was from Europe, but was unsure. She also provided police a series of numbers the man listed as his mobile phone number on his Skype profile.

Rock attack: At 1:37 p.m. Nov. 10 in the 2900 block of SW 320th St., two unknown suspects placed garbage cans in the middle of the street. Victims stopped for the garbage cans and were hit by rocks thrown from the northern wood line, damaging each vehicle. Also, a window was broken from a truck parked on 30th Avenue Southwest, most likely from the same suspects. Police did not locate the suspects.

Burglar throws chair into wrong window: At 7:49 p.m. Nov. 10 in the 2100 block of SW 337th Place, police were called to a residential burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers determined a man threw a chair into an apartment window, but realized it was not the correct apartment he intended to break into. He had planned to break into his daughter’s apartment. The man then broke the window to his daughter’s apartment and gained entry, damaging the apartment before gaining access to her bedroom. The suspect fled prior to police arrival.

Suspect caught in hospital: At 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at 34515 Ninth Ave. S., police received a tip that a suspect wanted for an outstanding felony juvenile warrant was at St. Francis Hospital for treatment. Once the man was positively identified and contacted, the warrant was confirmed and he was arrested. He was transported to the King County Juvenile Detention for booking.
