Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Gun look-alike: At 1:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at 1821 S. 310th Street, a complainant reported that his 4-year-old grandson found a gun in an apartment playground area. Police responded and discovered the gun was an Airsoft pistol. The look-alike did not have a colored barrel and was similar in color and weight to a real firearm.

• Stolen bicycle: At 4:41 p.m. Feb. 7 in the 32900 block of 19th Place South, a victim reported his mountain bike, valued at $1,000, was stolen from his front porch. The chain connecting the bike to the porch was cut.

• Theft in the workplace: At 9:45 a.m. Feb. 7 in the 700 block of South 320th Street, two employees discovered their wallets missing from their purses after they went on a break at work. The wallets contained checkbooks, phones and bank cards.

• Egged: At 10:29 p.m. Feb. 8 in the 32100 block of 37th Place South, a victim parked a vehicle in front of a home. A witness saw the resident of the home come outside and throw eggs at the victim’s vehicle.

• Counterfeit bills: At 10:53 p.m. Feb. 8 at 28810 Military Road South, a Safeway manager located several counterfeit $20 bills in several cash registers.

• Residential burglary: At 7:07 p.m. Feb. 9 in the 31800 block of 3rd Place Southwest, an unknown person entered a residence through an unlocked window. The suspect stole several electronic items.

• Home burglary: At 5:02 p.m. Feb. 11 in the 2300 block of Southwest 352nd Street, a residential burglary took place. Approximately $2,460 worth of electronics were stolen.

• Damaged railing: At 12:57 p.m. Feb. 4 in the 31800 block of 21st Avenue Southwest, a damaged city-owned aluminum handrail was found at the edge of a parking lot. The cost to repair the handrail is estimated at $4,500.
