Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:
• Lewd conduct: At 11:31 a.m. Aug. 26 in the 28200 block of 27th Avenue South, a complainant heard her dog barking outside. She went into the backyard and saw a suspect standing in a neighboring yard near her fence. The man was touching himself inappropriately and ran when the woman saw him.
• Assault: At 10:50 p.m. Aug. 26 in the 800 block of Southwest 298th Street, a man threw a glass at a woman, striking her in the head, after the woman confronted the suspect about a racial comment he had made at a party.
• Theft: At 8:05 p.m. Aug. 26 at 1921 S.W. 321st Lane, two suspects were seen removing televisions from the cabana area of an apartment complex.
• Pawn shop theft: At 6:37 p.m. Aug. 26 at 32811 Pacific Highway South, a pawn shop manager reported a Nikon digital camera stolen from a glass display case.
• Dog complaint: At 2:35 p.m. Aug. 26 in the 35800 block of 10th Avenue Southwest, animal control responded to a dog complaint. A dog charged the animal control officer and he deployed his taser. The taser missed the dog. The dog’s owner was issued a civil infraction.
• Roommates argue: At 1:19 p.m. Aug. 26 in the 32500 block of 8th Avenue Southwest, two roommates got into a verbal argument over one roommate clearing his throat.
• Damaged vehicle: At 2:15 a.m. Aug. 26 in the 35400 block of 23rd Ave. S.W., a victim’s vehicle’s windshield was damaged by a large cinder block.
• Motor vehicle theft: At 10:20 a.m. Aug. 24 in the 32800 block of 1st Avenue South, a motor vehicle theft was reported. Sports gear and golf clubs were stolen.
