The man left his residence at 6:30 p.m. the night prior to spend the night at a friend’s and returned in the morning to find his stuff missing. There were no signs of forced entry, however, police were able to locate some fingerprints.
Patron frauds pizza place: At 11:15 a.m. on May 10 at 2132 SW 336th St., a man tried to pay his restaurant tab at New York Vinny’s Pizza with a counterfeit bill. Before the transaction was finished, a restaurant employee used a counterfeit detection pen to test the bill. The mark appeared brown, indicating it was fake. The suspect fled before he could be detained but he did leave the bill behind. All evidence was forwarded to the U.S. Secret Service.
Hitchhiker caught: At 12:55 p.m. on May 10 in the 33600 block of Pacific Highway S., a man was arrested on an active fourth-degree assault warrant out of Kennewick after police observed him trying to hitchhike.

After driving around the area, a police officer was approached by apartment staff who told him the car was stolen from their property but they had recovered it. The golf cart had removable graffiti on the front windshield. None of the teenagers were identified.
Dirty children found in parking lot: At 4:22 p.m. on May 10 in the 1900 block of S. 314th St., witnesses reported two young children running around unattended in the Walmart parking lot while their parents slept in a vehicle nearby.
One woman said she saw them near some bushes with no adult supervision and was scared that someone would abduct the children or accidentally hit them with a car. After she called police, she took the children to the Walmart bathroom to clean them. She said there was so much dirt on them that the water in the sink turned black. She also changed the younger child’s diaper.
Police asked the children where they lived and they pointed to the car where their parents slept. The boy, age 2, had no shoes or shirt on. He had long, unkept hair and his feet and body were covered in a fine layer of dirt. The 5-year-old girl was also dirty and had dried discolored snot under her nose.
The witnesses took the children to McDonalds while police went to speak with the parents. The mother told police she worked a graveyard shift at McDonalds and met her fiancé at Walmart. She said she told her fiancé to watch the kids while she took a nap and that her mother was on the way to help her out when police arrived. She also said she lived in a friend’s trailer at a mobile home park.
Police forwarded the case to the prosecutor’s office for a review of an abandonment of dependent persons charge.

An employee requested the trespass order on suspicion they were taking items from the store. The responding officer discovered one man had a Kent warrant for hit and run.
Four arrested in fight outside bar: At 1:19 a.m. on May 9 at 35509 21st Ave. SW, police arrested four men ages 21-25 for getting into a fight with four other people at Jersey’s Sports Bar. The initial report stated there were possible gunshots. When police arrived, they discovered four to five men laying on the sidewalk outside of the bar.
One man appeared to be unconscious, however, as police arrived, all fled in different directions. Police contacted a couple who said they, and two others, were assaulted by the men. They had left the bar when they encountered the group. Most of them were wearing red and yelling, “I’m blood” and profanities, the police report states.
The female victim was knocked down and bumped her head as a result. When her boyfriend went to help her up, he was “immediately punched with a closed fist.” The woman turned around and saw two other men on the ground being kicked and punched. She told police they didn’t know the men, nor was there a gun present. After alerting other officers in the area of the suspects, police located the men. The police report states it was a high risk stop as one of the detained suspects said there was a shotgun in the trunk of the car.
As the officer with the victims interviewed the two other men, he noticed blood on the driver’s seat. One victim’s face was swollen and covered in blood.
The two victims were taken to the hospital and the woman went with police to positively identify the four suspects. While initially thought to be a misdemeanor, those charges were dropped after police learned one of the victims was transferred to Harborview Medical Center from a complication due to a prior head injury. Because of this, the suspects could face felony assault charges, which are pending.

According to the police report, she believes her neighbor broke into her residence and urinated on the back of her TV. She stated several years ago a similar situation with her washing machine. She noticed a slippery substance on the lid and believed it was her neighbor. She had no reasons why she suspected the neighbor other than she thinks she always gets in other’s business.
