Men chase bike-riding thief: At 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 3 in the 2000 block of S. 282nd Place, two men witnessed another man breaking into a vehicle and stealing approximately $6 in loose change from the vehicle’s interior. The report notes the two witnesses chased the suspect as the suspect fled the area on a bicycle. According to the report, the witnesses followed the man but eventually lost sight of him, and police were also unable to locate the suspect.

Man invokes God’s will in attempted theft: At 1:14 p.m. on Feb. 3 in the 34000 block of 16th Ave. S., a man was detained for attempting to steal a backpack from a store. When police interviewed the man, he said he had the “right to take whatever he wanted to do God’s will.” The report notes the man had several active warrants, including a Department of Corrections escape warrant.

Escaped con nabbed: At 4:31 p.m. on Feb. 3 in the 31000 block of Pacific Highway S., police stopped a vehicle after the driver attempted to avoid an intersection by driving through a nearby parking lot. According to the report, the driver of the vehicle had an active escape warrant from the Department of Corrections.

Girlfriend assaults boyfriend: At 11:27 a.m. on Feb. 2 in the 27000 block of Pacific Highway S., a man reported that his girlfriend punched him in the ear, causing pain and visible swelling. According to the report, the woman did this when the man turned out the lights in their residence, in an attempt to get the woman to hurry up. The report notes the woman was arrested.

Storage units broken into: At 12:43 p.m. on Feb. 2 in the 35000 block of Pacific Highway S., it was reported that unknown suspects broke into multiple storage units at a facility. According to the report, the management team at the facility notified the affected customers.

Men fight over toys in backyard: At 4:40 p.m. on Feb. 2 in the 2000 block of S. 299th St., police responded to reports of a fight between two men. According to the report, the two men are neighbors, and the fight stemmed from a disagreement over one man’s children’s toys/balls always being in the other man’s backyard.

Suicidal woman found: At 7:40 p.m. on Feb. 2 in the 29000 block of 16th Ave. S., police located a vehicle sitting off the roadway in a relatively secluded area. Police discovered a suicidal woman inside. According to the report, the woman attempted to overdose on muscle relaxers and pain killers. The report notes that South King Fire and Rescue were called to treat the woman, and that she was transported to a nearby hospital for involuntary committal.

Man arrested after throwing rock, scuffling with police: At 8:49 p.m. on Feb. 2 in the 33000 block of Pacific Highway S., police responded to reports of a possible overdose. Medical personnel on scene checked the man out and declined to transport him to a hospital. At that time, the man became agitated and threw a rock at the responding officers. The officers went to arrest the man for throwing the rock and he resisted and continued to assault officers.

Man tries to reclaim RV from ex-girlfriend: At 11:37 p.m. on Feb. 2 in the 3500 block of SW 339th Place, a man went to his ex-girlfriend’s residence and attempted to reclaim an RV from the property. According to the report, the man was able to gain entry to the RV, but could not drive it off the property because the woman parked a car in front of the RV. At that point, the man became angry with the woman and yelled at her before leaving the area.

Man robbed: At 1:51 a.m. on Feb. 1 in the 27000 block of Pacific Highway S., a man reported that two men known to him assaulted him and stole the hat and coat he was wearing.
