3,300 lose power in Federal Way, including three schools

Puget Sound Energy is investigating the cause of two separate power outages affecting 3,303 customers in Federal Way and 326 customers in Poulsbo this morning.

Puget Sound Energy is investigating the cause of two separate power outages affecting 3,303 customers in Federal Way and 326 customers in Poulsbo this morning.

All power has since been restored in Federal Way, according to PSE’s Facebook page. The rest of Poulsbo’s customers were expected to have power restored by 1:30 p.m.

Federal Way Public Schools reports that Kilo Middle School, Wildwood Elementary and Lake Dolloff Elementary went dark for a spell on Tuesday morning. (see a map)

Parents were updated through the emergency call-out system and on the district website at www.fwps.org.

The official cause of the power outages is unknown at this time.
