The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:
• At 6:35 Aug. 8 in the 39400 block of Pacific Highway South, a male contacted police to report a domestic dispute between a father and a son. During the argument, the father told the son he disapproved of his son’s same-sex relationship with the male reporting the argument. The father told the son he was not welcome in the family, and the son consequently asked police if he had the right to purchase a firearm to defend his “husband” from his father.
• At 8:49 a.m. Aug. 9 on South 276th Street, a woman reported her 12-year-old daughter had been molested by a male suspect. This is an active investigation.
• At 11:25 a.m. Aug. 9, a rape was reported at an apartment complex on South 320th Street.
• At 6:26 p.m. Aug. 9 at 30911 1st Ave. S., a complainant reported being involved in a verbal argument with a driver in a yellow Corvette about a handicapped parking placard. The driver threatened the complainant. Later that same day, the complainant saw the driver in a parking lot near the complainant’s vehicle.
• At 8:03 p.m. Aug. 9 at 1330 S.W. Dash Point Road, a juvenile victim was bitten by a dog that was not properly contained in a yard.
• At 12:30 a.m. Aug. 8 at 3000 S. 288th St., two victims were robbed by four suspects while they were walking. One suspect implied he was carrying a pistol. The suspects punched the victims in the mouth and stole an iPod and a wallet.
• At 9:22 a.m. Aug. 8 at 34400 21st Ave. S.W., someone stole a catalytic converter. There are no suspects or witnesses.
• At 3:20 p.m. Aug. 8 at 33325 8th Ave. S., a woman was arrested and jailed after appearing in court and then being released, only to admit to a police officer at the court that she had outstanding warrants for her arrest.
• At 12:57 a.m. Aug. 7 at 200 S.W. Dash Point Road, a complainant reported an unknown suspect shot at a vehicle and damaged a window. The complainant refused to cooperate with police further.
• At 10:06 a.m. Aug. 7 at 1919 S. 375th St., an unknown suspect stole a vehicle, generator and gas blower from a garage.
• At 1:13 p.m. Aug. 7 at 369 S. 19th Way S., a juvenile suspect was spotted pushing another juvenile to the ground and shaking the victim. The victim swung at the suspect and was released, but the suspect then struck the victim with a closed fist in the buttocks.
• At 5 p.m. Aug. 7 at 32124 25th Ave. S., a police prostitution emphasis took place. Seven people were arrested for prostitution.
