Marcus Trufant, who recently retired with the Seattle Seahawks after a long successful career as cornerback, unveiled his own custom burger at Stacks in Federal Way on Thursday.

Raffle tickets and autographs drew a standing-room-only crowd to the custom burger joint. Stacks owners Emmett and Sebastian Brost welcomed Trufant and he autographed a custom Seahawks golf cart that will be sold on eBay.

A percentage of sales from the evening will go back to benefit the Trufant Family Foundation.

Trufant’s new creation, which he named “You can’t handle the Tru,” is a double cheese burger with pepper jack cheese, tomato, a golden onion ring, jalapeños and a spicy sauce on a toasted wheat bun.

“My vision in starting the Trufant Family Foundation in 2003 when I was drafted to play football with the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League was to give back to a community where I was born and raised by directly giving financial support to my foundation and my time to foundation events,” said Marcus in a press release. “I wanted to encourage, inspire, and make a lasting impact on youth by sharing my story and success. We are excited to work with Stacks because we know they are very intentional in giving back to the community in many ways, plus the burgers are solid and you get to Stack it your own way.”

Stacks Burgers, Shakes and Fries is located at 1706 S. 320th St., Suite A in Federal Way.
