Wild Waves Theme Park in Federal Way announced it will open early this year to celebrate Cinco de Mayo on May 5.
In partnership with Seattle radio station La Gran D 99.3 FM, families are invited to enjoy a day of festive fun, including access to all of the park’s 30 rollercoasters and variety of amusement rides, special concerts, and giveaways, for only $9.99 per person. Children under 48 inches tall are free.
The park will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The public can purchase their tickets at www.WildWaves.com. Foodies will be able to get a fix at a series of Mexican food vendors, including Taqueria La Fondita, Antojitos Araceli, Taqueria Sauyao and Best Corn 1.
The concert program, located in Celebration Square, will feature:
• Noon: Revolver Rock
• 1:05 p.m.: Mariachi Guadalajara
• 2:15 p.m.: Jimador Norteño
• 3:15 p.m.: Danza Quetzalcoatl de Olympia
• 3:35 p.m.: Riveras Musical de Durango
• 4:40 p.m.: Adriana Guerra con Banda
• 6 p.m.: Amos de Nuevo Leon
Officially opening May 11, Wild Waves Theme Park encourages the public to get a jumpstart on their summer adventures by purchasing 2013 season passes at the discounted rate of $69.99, through May 27. Season passes will not be valid on Cinco de Mayo.
