Rally for Special Olympics: The Federal Way Farmers Market and the City of Federal Way will host the Rise With Us Rally at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Commons Mall parking lot in Federal Way. Former Seattle Seahawks safety Jordan Babineaux will serve as event emcee. Federal Way resident Audrey Collins will sing the national anthem and the band Lost and Found will provide the entertainment. Several elected officials will be present to support the 20 Federal Way residents participating in the 2018 USA Games who have achieved selection on the State of Washington Team. The 2018 USA Games will be held July 1-6 at multiple locations in the Puget Sound region including Federal Way.

Federal Way Youth Forum: Rugged Genius and Federal Way City Councilman Jesse Johnson will present the Federal Way Youth Forum from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, June 11, at Decatur High School, 2800 SW 320th St. The event will feature a panel of youth from all the high schools in Federal Way who will discuss a variety of issues youth today face. Anyone in the community is invited to hear what the youth have to say. A resource fair begins at 5:30 p.m.

Driver improvement program: The AAA Driver Improvement Program is offering its refresher course on defensive driving skills from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the Brookdale Foundation House, 32290 First Ave. S. The course gives practical guidance for traffic accident prevention and enhances driver safety and confidence. Food bank volunteers: Multi-Service Center is seeking volunteers to help with food delivery. Volunteer drivers and driver helpers are needed for weekly routes. Routes are available Monday through Friday, beginning between 7:30-8 a.m. and generally last two-and-a-half to three hours. Drivers use vans or small trucks provided by MSC. Clothing bank volunteers: Multi-Service Center’s clothing bank provides free clothing and small household items to people in need in our community. Delivery drivers needed: Sound Generations is looking for volunteers to deliver meals to homebound senior citizens through the Meals on Wheels program. Drivers are needed to deliver meals in Federal Way on Thursday mornings, as needed when one of the regular drivers is unavailable.
