Thomas Jefferson High School senior Jenna Appleton accepted an appointment to the United States Naval Academy. She joins the Brigade of Midshipmen on June 29, induction day for Plebe Summer. Appleton is the daughter of Major Thomas J. Appleton (USMCR ret.) and Capt. Julie A. Zappone (USN ret.).
