Spring into summer

The Federal Way Community Center is now offering an eight-week “Spring into Summer” educational program that includes classes on nutrition, exercise and behavior change. The program began April 7 and lasts until June 2. It costs $85 for community center members and $150 for non-members.

The Federal Way Community Center is now offering an eight-week “Spring into Summer” educational program that includes classes on nutrition, exercise and behavior change. The program began April 7 and lasts until June 2. It costs $85 for community center members and $150 for non-members.

The community center’s “Biggest Loser” contest, in which participants competed to lose the most weight during a 12-week period, inspired the program. The winner of the contest lost 52 pounds and 18 percent body fat.
