Residents have opportunities to speak with legislators at town hall meetings.

AARP Tax Help: The Federal Way Library, 34200 First Way S., offers free individualized tax preparation assistance provided by trained AARP volunteers from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. every Friday through April 13, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. alternate Saturdays, March 10 and 24 and April 7. No age or income limits, and electronic filing will be available.

Democratic caucus: District 30 Democrats are hosting a 30th Legislative District Democratic Caucus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Todd Beamer High School, 35999 16th Ave. S., Federal Way. The caucus will be selecting six delegates and three alternates to attend the Washington State Democrat State Convention in Wenatchee June 15-17. To attend this caucus, residents must live in the 30th legislative district and identify as a Democrat. People should bring their identification. Return to Centerstage: Centerstage is presenting “Return to the Forbidden Planet,” based on the book by Bob Carlton, from March 16-March 31. Times are 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets cost $29 for adults, $25 seniors/military, $15 for ages 18-25 and $12 ages 17 and under. Community meeting to end human trafficking: The Federal Way Coalition Against Trafficking and Seattle Against Slavery are hosting a community meeting, End Human Trafficking: Utilizing Resources and Reducing Demand, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 27 at Courtyard by Marriott Salon B, 31910 Gateway Center Boulevard S., Federal Way. Smith hosting town hall: Congressman Adam Smith is hosting a town hall session from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 28 at Federal Way City Hall, 33325 Eighth Ave. S., Federal Way. The event is free.

Town hall meeting: Washington District 30 representatives Mike Pellicciotti and Kristine Reeves are hosting a town hall meeting with 30th District constituents (residents of parts of King and Pierce Counties including Federal Way, Des Moines, Milton, Algona, Pacific and part of Auburn), from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Todd Beamer High School, 35999 16th Ave. S., Federal Way. Reeves and Pellicciotti want to hear from constituents and update them on the 2018 legislative session.

STEM Night: PreK-12 scholars and families are invited to explore, inform, learn and prepare at the Federal Way Public Schools second annual STEM Exploration Night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at Todd Beamer High School. This event invites people to experience career pathways in science, technology, engineering and math. Parking is limited, so there are six bus routes running to and from the event, stopping at schools and local apartment complexes. Garden Easter egg hunt: Light of Christ Community Garden is hosting a free Easter egg hunt for children ages 1 to 11 at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at the garden, 34249 21st Ave. SW, Federal Way. EasterFest: The Federal Way Church of the Nazarene is hosting EasterFest, a free family event celebrating the Easter season, at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31 at the church, 1525 SW Dash Point Road, Federal Way. The whole family is invited to the egg hunts organized by age. There will also be free popcorn, bounce houses, photo booths and games. Every child will get candy.
