Rainier League of Arts brings show to bonsai garden

Rainier League of Arts Mixed Media Art show will be held at the Weyerhaeuser Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection in Federal Way from Aug. 25 through Sept. 19.

Rainier League of Arts Mixed Media Art show will be held at the Weyerhaeuser Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection in Federal Way from Aug. 25 through Sept. 19.

There will be 22 mixed media art including jewelry and blown glass.

The show is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is closed on Monday. The bonsai garden is located at the Weyerhaeuser campus in Federal Way.

A reception with live demonstrations and refreshments runs 1:30 to 4 p.m. Aug. 26. There will be a framed print on canvas available in a raffle. At the reception, three artists will be demonstrating: Paul Langston of Auburn, who will be wood burning, while Irene Neal of Puyallup and Harry Allison will be painting.
