The Federal Way Harmony Kings Barbershop Chorus, under the direction of Karen Frerichs, competed in a district competition Oct. 25 in Boise, Idaho. A total of 16 choruses competed at the Boise State University Campus. The Harmony Kings placed seventh; last year, the group placed 12th.

The second half will be lighter fare consisting of carols and octavos with a Christmas theme such as “Christmas Day” (Choral Fantasy on Old Carols) by Gustov Holtz and “Go, Tell It on the Mountain” arranged by Robert Sterling.
