Marine View’s Jazz LIVE monthly concert series is kicking off again this month after a summer break. Up first is the jazz band Groove For Thought. The band will be backed by keyboard and percussion. GFT, as the group refers to itself, is a Seattle-based vocal group that has been singing together since 1998. Groove for Thought will play at 5 p.m. Sept. 26. All shows take place the last Sunday of the month at the church, 8469 Eastside Drive NE in Tacoma. Upcoming shows include Hook Me Up, Cocoa Martini and Michael Powers, who is returning again for a Christmas special. So far, the church has hosted 15 shows.
