KOMO 4 weatherman Steve Pool visited Federal Way High School on May 13 to deliver a message of inspiration to students.

“I believe that you are the future of this country, and I believe that each and every one of you is capable of doing great things,” said Pool, a native of the Puget Sound region.

Pool asked students by show of hands whether subjects such as math or sports came naturally — and whether they believed they were good at those things.

“What you need to understand is that the things that don’t come naturally, it doesn’t mean that you’ll be that way for the rest of your life,” Pool said. “The most important thing to remember is what you think about yourself is going to determine where you go in life.”
