The Federal Way Homeschoolers’ Support Association, along with Discimus, will hold a special event at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 26, to celebrate National School Choice Week. The event will take place at the Federal Way Regional Library, 34200 First Way S., Federal Way.
This event is called Homeschooling 101, which will feature a presentation on the basics of getting started with homeschooling and a chance to have homeschooling questions answered.
FWHSA is a branch of Homeschoolers’ Support Association, which is a non-profit organization in south King County whose purposes are to assist parents who are considering homeschooling to make an informed choice, facilitate an informed community awareness of homeschooling and offer support and information to all homeschooling families regardless of philosophies, methodologies or beliefs. Discimus is a non-profit that exists to provide administrative educational services to the homeschooling community, primarily in South King County.
