Federal Way Farmers Market runs Saturdays through October at the Commons mall parking lot near South 324th Street and Pacific Highway South.

Community Resource / Health and Safety Fair: From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 20, the Federal Way Farmers Market is hosting a health and safety fair featuring a variety of local vendors and activities related to these important topics. At the Commons Mall in the back parking lot.

Federal Way Rotary Club’s 3rd annual FUNdraiser: Head to Evergreen Middle School from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 20, for a speed croquet tournament to raise money for a good cause. Please bring sunscreen as appropriate and wear stable footwear. Croquet happens on the grass, so the ground may be uneven in some areas. This event is great for all ages, but the club asks that players are 8 years old or older to participate on a team. Alcohol is not allowed on school property. Community Garage Sale Fundraiser: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 20 and July 21 at 1700 S. 340th St., Federal Way, the South King Tool Library will be selling excess inventory of gently used tools. There will be fun for the whole family, including food and games.

Line Dance for the Soul w/ Royal Woman: Join for a night of footwork and fun on Saturday, July 20 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Grab up your friends and meet at The Trap Lab to learn a variety of steps and styles YOU can show off at your next gathering. The Trap Lab is located at 1646 SW Dash Point Rd Suite A in Federal Way.

Kiwanis 68th Annual Salmon Bake: On July 26 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., join the Kiwanis Club for their annual Salmon Bake. Last year the club served 900 meals. The event will feature Baked salmon, a wine and beer garden, live entertainment, silent auction, and card wall. Evening in the Garden “Celebrate RSF’s 60th Anniversary”: On Saturday, July 27, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden located at 2525 S. 336th St. Join volunteers and members are invited to join us as we celebrate the Rhododendron Species Foundation 60th anniversary. Enjoy a night of enchanting music, savory cuisine, wine and beer, garden tours, and a rare plant auction.

FUSION Summer Marketplace: Discover local artisans, snack on delicious treats, and shop for a good cause on July 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The summer marketplace will be held in the parking lot of FUSION Decor Boutique and Poverty Bay Cafe located at 32209 11th Place South in Federal Way. Bike Safety Event: Learn about bike safety and have some fun on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Family Life Center located at 32275 32nd Avenue S in Federal Way. Activities will include a bike giveaway and other prizes, a recycle station, free helmet giveaway, bike rodeo (safety course), a repair station and safety checks and a bike decorating station. Federal Way Community Festival: From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at Town Square Park, located at 33600 Pete von Reichbauer Way South in Federal Way. Celebrate and experience diverse cultures in and around Federal Way, free admission.

Hot off the presses – evening edition: The Federal Way Mirror invites you to join the paper from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. August 13 at Poverty Bay Café for informal conversation, coffee, beer, wine and appetizers. You’ll be able to ask the newspaper staff about their work or talk about issues affecting the region, such as homelessness, addiction and development, all while supporting a local business and the work of nonprofit FUSION to serve families in need. Poverty Bay Café is located at 1108 S. 322nd Place in Federal Way, north of Celebration Park.
