FWPS Board Meeting: Join the School Board for a meeting via zoom or in person at 6 p.m. Feb. 13 at Kilo Middle School located at 4400 S. 308th St., Auburn.

Ukulele jam: Join the group at Cafe Noir in Federal Way as they learn and play together from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. every Sunday. No matter your skill level, anyone who wants to can pick a song to lead, or just follow along. All levels of players are welcome. Even if you are new to ukulele, or have been playing for years, the sessions are just about learning and having fun together. Mayor’s State of the City Address: Scheduled for 6 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center, 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way S. Mayor Jim Ferrell will give his annual presentation on the city’s state of affairs.

Hot off the presses: The Federal Way Mirror invites you to join the paper from 1-2:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at Poverty Bay Café for informal conversation and coffee. You’ll be able to ask the newspaper staff about their work or talk about issues affecting the region, such as homelessness, addiction and development, all while supporting a local business and the work of nonprofit FUSION to serve families in need.
