Run With The Cops: This annual 5K race is a fundraiser for the Special Olympics of Washington. It starts at the Federal Way Community Center at 9 a.m. Aug. 26. Lions Car Show: Visit The Commons Mall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 26 for the Federal Way Lions Club’s 18th annual scholarship car show. Proceeds from the event fund scholarships for high school seniors in the Federal Way School District.
Free back-to-school haircuts: Bella Red Salon will provide free haircuts for students ages 5 to 18 on Aug. 28 from noon to 7 p.m. at Town Square Park. The first 500 kids will be served; there’s no need to tip.
“Dive-in” movies at Wild Waves: Catch a showing at the Wild Waves theme park wave pool from 5 to 7 on Aug. 31 of “DC League of Super Pets.”
