Calling all artists: Federal Way commission seeks designs for utility boxes

In the spirit of beautification, the city of Federal Way Art Commission has put out a call to artists requesting interesting, family-friendly designs to vinyl-wrap the utility boxes around the city.

In the spirit of beautification, the city of Federal Way Art Commission has put out a call to artists requesting interesting, family-friendly designs to vinyl-wrap the utility boxes around the city.

The intent is to keep these designs for years to come so that community members and visitors can enjoy and remember this vibrant, up-and-coming city. Examples of current designs can be found along South 320th Street, 20th Avenue South, South 348th and Enchanted Parkway and near the Transit Center.

Artists may submit an application with multiple designs. The Arts Commission will begin reviewing submissions on June 21. A stipend is available to selected artists.
