Hosted at the esteemed Federal Way Farmers Market, the event drew a large and enthusiastic audience eager to witness the exceptional talents. From singers to dancers, songwriters and African drums to a ukulele duo, the market was graced with a multitude of acts that left the crowd in awe and applause.

The talented Alinea Kirshenbaum writes her own music and has also written the music for school plays. As she strummed her guitar and sang to her original song, “Gaslight,” with a voice that seemed to reach into the souls of those listening, it was clear that this talented artist possessed a gift that set her apart.

Two missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sisters DeBloois, and Watson, immediately captured the attention of the audience with their unconventional pairing of instrument and voice. The gentle strumming of the ukulele provided a whimsical backdrop for Sister Watson’s vocals, creating a harmonious fusion of sound.

The small but mighty K-Pop dancer, Haley Huynh at age 10 showcased her incredible skill and charisma. Standing tall the young Haley took the stage with an air of confidence and determination, ready to show the world what she was made of. When she finished, the small but mighty K-pop dancer proved that greatness knows no size.

In a mesmerizing tribute to the legendary Frank Sinatra, Oscar Torres-Morales delivered a show stopping performance. Each note he sang was infused with emotion, as he effortlessly navigated the rich melodies. His performance left a lasting impression that celebrated the power of music.

The Federal Way’s Got Talent judges, Billie Bohannon, Paul Frink and Debbie McNeil found themselves faced with the daunting task of selecting the top three acts from a pool of extraordinary performers. The judges know that they hold the fate of these talented individuals in their hands, tasked with the responsibility of selecting the top three acts that will move on to the September round and vie for the coveted title of Federal Way’s Got Talent, $500 and the opportunity to perform at the Taste of Federal Way September 28th at the Federal Way Farmers Market. The three performers moving on are, Carol Stanley, Oscar Torres – Morales and Phenomenal She Dance Group.

The show started off with Ebrima Saidybah with his African drums and a poem depicting the meaning of the different drums to be played. He effortlessly wowed the crowd with his heartfelt words and the rhythm of the drums.

The electrifying energy of hip-hop filled the air as the Phenomenal She dance team delivered a performance that left the audience in awe and admiration. Their performance was a dynamic display of strength, grace and artistry, reminding us all of the power of movement and music to inspire, uplift and unite.

Next up was a woman known by many in the community for her beautiful singing voice. She has lived in the community for many years. Carol Stanley sang Come Rain or Come Shine by Harold Arlen & Johnny Mercer. Carol touched the hearts of the audience with her performance.
