When a political newcomer runs for office against an incumbent candidate, the newcomer has two choices. Work really hard to communicate with voters about your qualifications and vision and try to have your positives exceed that of the incumbent. Or take the low road and bombard the incumbent with negative hit pieces in order to try drive down their positive ratings so that you can be competitive. It appears that Claire Wilson has chosen option two.
Recently her campaign has mailed outrageous hit pieces about mark Miloscia full of false claims about his voting record and about his long record of service to our community.
Informed voters see right through this.
Rather than working to tell us about her plans and vision, Wilson tries to smear Mark with these bogus claims. It makes me wonder what values Claire Wilson brings to her position on the school board? Does she support this type of ends justify the means values throughout the district? Would she like students to model her situational ethics? Maybe it’s time for her fellow board members and administration to step up and tell her to get control of her campaign before she drags the whole district into the mud with her. It may take a village to raise a child but it takes a community to pass bonds and local option levies. That support shouldn’t be taken for granted.
Please join me in rejecting these low-ball tactics and support someone we know, who has served us well, Mark Miloscia for State Senate.
