(RE: Setting a mayoral election date in Federal Way)

Now I have a burning question: Does anybody out there get the feeling that once again the Federal Way City Council thinks they need to tell the people when, where, how, and you don’t know what you the great people of Federal Way are doing?

This is just another smoke screen so the council can be in control.

As for the money: The council was willing to spend money on a performing arts center that would benifit a few, especially since the husband of one of the council members got up to make a pitch for it. Are they so afraid of losing power they would stoop so low as to make the people wait to vote on the mayor race? Now who is posturing for control or position?

Also remember that the current mayor signed the petition for the mayoral race (Prop. 1).
