Thanks for your thoughtful piece on Walter Backstrom. I had no idea he passed.

I remember fondly the debate style conversations Walter often engaged me in. I think I enjoyed my disagreement with him on many issues more than he enjoyed our occasional consensus.

I will miss his spark in our libraries.

Fittingly, he died owing me twenty bucks. You win that round, Walter!
