The cost of domestic violence in Washington state | Federal Way letters, Feb. 25

If the state needs money for a domestic violence situation, to help someone flee or to help someone with counseling, why don’t they release the non-violent second-degree robbers they have locked up for life because of “three strikes” and use that money for domestic violence programs. That’s a brilliant idea! Let the non-violent be replaced by the violent…in programming. They don’t need prison any more than a petty robber for drug money. The state needs to start looking at the cost saved to spend where really needed.
