Thank you volunteers and supporters of the West Hylebos Wetlands.

We had 51 volunteers come out to celebrate National Trails Day and stay for the Hylebos picnic on June 1. In total, we removed Himalayan blackberry, cutleaf blackberry, and creeping buttercup from 1,730 square feet of the park.

Also, we maintained 8,000 square feet of planting areas and mulched 3,000 square feet.

We hope that you were able to walk the boardwalks and learn something new about the wetland. Thanks to Boeing, REI, the Moore Corps, Highline Community College, and all of the community members and elected officials including U.S. Congressman Adam Smith, King County

Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer, Mayor Skip Priest and Federal Way City Councilmembers who joined us. We had an awesome time.
