Thank you to Rev. Josh Hosler from Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd for his thoughtful and powerful letter to the editor in answer to Mary Locke’s letter in the Dec. 20 issue. (Keep hatred out of local paper, Jan 20).

I also was very disappointed that Locke’s letter was printed. It’s bad enough that ignorant people post bigoted homophobic lies on the internet, but there is no place for those lies in our local paper.

I’m grateful that Rev. Hosler spoke out and I encourage the Mirror to review the standards for what letters to print.
