I choose Teri Hickel for state representative. She is decisive, a listener and is respectful of other’s opinions. The demands of this position call for fresh, dynamic leadership and interaction with all leaders and constituents. Teri is fully aware of the issues at hand and is ready to take on the challenges we are facing now and into the future.

Teri knows that bringing leaders together accomplishes more and she has a proven track record of this. She has trained around 850 individuals in leadership. As the executive director of the Advancing Leadership program, Teri was hand selected in 2000 by the Federal Way Chamber of Commerce to develop and build a community-based program to train and inspire the next generation of adult and youth in order to raise and promote individuals to govern organizations, businesses and political positions. This work relied upon her relationships with various heads of state, large and small business owners and organizations to support and enhance the program. As a result, ordinary citizens have been equipped with tools and gained relationships to effectively serve the community in a variety of ways.

Teri has a 20 year history of leading critical school district bond measures, training leaders who have gone on to lead small and large organizations, businesses and political roles that extends to multiple segments, which include support of public schools.

She is less concerned with political party lines and sees the value in approaching issues with fairness and logic.

Our next state House representative requires tough decision making based upon logic and fairness rather than loyalty to hard political party lines. Teri listens and takes action and she has my vote.
