South King Fire and Rescue | Letters

Now that the school district is beginning anew, we still have questions about South King County Fire and Rescue.

Now that the school district is beginning anew, we still have questions about South King County Fire and Rescue.

For example, why did the taxpayer’s have to fund over $20,000 in legal fees to settle their squabble? More importantly, why is fire Chief Al Church squabbling at all? As a commissioner, Mark Freitas has a right to different opinions. As one of the commissioners, we would expect that he would speak up. Apparently, he does not view things the same way the other four commissioners do, and that’s a good thing. That is why there are five commissioners. Perhaps we need to make some changes the next election. Just saying.

This whole thing is beyond understanding. At least there is one adult in the room as long as Freitas is on the board.
