I have been mulling this over in my mind since the last Federal Way City Council meeting.
And no, I just can’t let this slip by without having my say.
The meeting was at 7 p.m. Feb. 1 at City Hall.
Everything went relatively well until economic development director Patrick Doherty gave the report on Twin Development skyscrapers going down the tube.
Shortly after that, a council member had something to say.
This council member had reservations about the EB-5 program and also anything over 20 stories. I simply wanted to state that.
Now what I find strange is, this same council member never once voted “no” on either extending the contracts or transferring the contract from Canada to the Twin Development people.
In fact, at one meeting, the council member stated a desire for lots of lighting, water, an outdoor park for concerts, etc.
This is a person sitting on the council making decisions that affect all the people’s lives in Federal Way.
I’m just wondering how qualified this person is to make any decisions?
After the fact just doesn’t cut it.
