Amy Johnson’s sex ed column in The Mirror deals with a lot of issues, but one she continues to ignore is male circumcision, even after it has become a focus in the national media.

Circumcision is plastic surgery usually done without a medical purpose. Why would you have your baby go through elective cosmetic surgery they cannot consent to? It’s not OK to force males to have this surgery that forever alters them; wait until they are older and can make a consenting choice for themselves.
