I support the re-election of Mark Thompson and James Fossos for commissioners at South King Fire and Rescue. They both have many years of experience in the fire service and understand the complexity of governing a modern fire department.

Jerry Galland’s claim that reductions in staff levels have had no effect on service are patently false. The loss of 17 employees does effect service and operations.The budget reductions caused by the decrease in property values are real and will be long lasting.

I believe Commissioners Thompson and Fossos have the knowledge and demonstrated ability to provide sound leadership during this economic downturn.
