Nunsense in The Mirror | Federal Way letters

The July 17 edition of The Mirror had a story with the big headline “Nun passes counterfeit $100 bill at shoe store.”

The headline was across the entire page and covered six columns. Since this story covered the police blotter, one might conclude that Federal Way was about to be hit with a crime spree committed by nuns counterfeiting $100 bills.

Don’t you think this headline was a bit out of proportion? This is especially so since the actual story was carried in only four lines of print.

I don’t know if I have ever seen a counterfeit $100 bill and if I did see one, I don’t know if I would even recognize it. Do you suppose this might also be the case with this nun?

My conclusion is that someone at The Mirror does not like nuns.
