I find the debate about having a strong mayor form of government very interesting. Since under our current form of city manager/council, a mayor is chosen from the seven elected council members, but has no more power than the rest. What is the problem? You have elected the mayor along with the other six elected council members. I do not know of one of these council members who does not respond to a citizen’s complaint. Just because your personal problem cannot overrule the rights of the other citizens of Federal Way is no reason to throw out a perfectly fine system that is working for us all.
