The msnbc.com article “Kansas City, Mo., closing nearly half its schools” proves $$ doesn’t make schools better. Only good teachers do.
I’m afraid the Federal Way department of education who keeps asking for more and more in tax $$ is headed in the same direction as Kansas City. We need to learn to live within a tight budget and not ask for more and more. The WEA is holding the kids hostage by all the demands they keep requiring.
Why are they so afraid of charter schools? If they really cared about the children, they would welcome anything that provided a better education for the kids.
I don’t know any kids graduating that know how to balance a checkbook or the importance of saving instead of using credit cards and other life skills, but most know how to save the planet when it comes to carbon emissions.
