Lakeland Elementary landscape is a piece of art | Letters

I am not sure if you have seen any of the new Federal Way school buildings lately, but I thought you should be looking at one in particular.

I am not sure if you have seen any of the new Federal Way school buildings lately, but I thought you should be looking at one in particular.

Lakeland Elementary was just opened this last fall, and the building is beautiful. But the most impressive part of the building (I think) is the landscaping. From the front of the building it looks like a very nice place. Grass, trees and bushes, etc.

But, when you view the grounds from the back of the building — wow. Instead of planting grass on the rest of the grounds, they seeded it with wildflowers, and it is ablaze right now. What a welcome change and a relaxing view. It is like being in the middle of a field. You must see it. Now is the time. We actually think it is a piece of art the way it has been designed. Wonderful, wonderful…
