We are fortunate to have multiple libraries in Federal Way.
Federal Way citizens will experience an extra treat when the Federal Way Regional Library reopens in early June after a remodel, expansion and two difficult years of national and local economic hardship.
The remodeled library is huge, freshly carpeted with an infusion of light from numerous windows, supplied with new furniture and computers, providing plenty of space. Children will enjoy their own separate area and can once again discover the wonders of the library in this Federal Way haven, and at their pace.
The library offers all of us a place to read and to learn, use a computer, receive basic computer training, study, check out materials, research, obtain professional research and literary assistance, attend meetings, lectures and more. KCLS staff are professional and well-trained. Most impressively, the staff members are patient and able to work under pressure. The past 18 months have been a real test of their dedication and perseverance.
I thank them for their service — to the city as a whole, and to their grateful patrons.
