I support Mark Koppang for election to the Federal Way City Council.

I know Mark primarily as an active member of my service club, the Federal Way Kiwanis Club. He serves hotdogs like the rest of us at the Federal Way Memorial Stadium, but he also serves as a director on our Kiwanis Foundation. He strongly believes that service to his community is a prerequisite to becoming part of its leadership.

Mark has prepared himself to become a city council member and has served on the Parks and Recreation Commission, Civil Service Commission, and Independent Salary Review board.

He has several goals for our city. However, he sees the development of our business economy as one of the most important ones. He wants to be part of the strategic planning needed to create opportunities for existing businesses and attract new businesses to Federal Way. He will work hard to move Federal Way’s potential into reality.
