Half-eaten cats in Twin Lakes | Federal Way letters

I live on the 25th Avenue SW block in Twin Lakes. On March 7 at about 4:45 a.m., I went out to my car to go to work and I heard a rustle in the bushes. Out came a very large coyote eating what looked like a cat. I backed away and it ran off, and I got in my car and went to work.

When I arrived home around noon, I found the hind quarters of a half-eaten cat in my yard. I researched and found your article from Aug. 23, 2010, and I read about the speculation of human involvement. I just wanted to confirm that it was definitely a coyote and a big one at that (it appeared larger than a golden retriever). It may be old news, but it was quite a shock for me and even more so to discover that this sort of thing happens often.
