Get ready for the primary election | Letters

The League of Women Voters wants to remind you to be ready for our “summer primary” on Aug. 18. Registered voters will receive a voters’ pamphlet, so watch for that and don’t throw it out with the junk.

We now have a “top two” primary system so, regardless of party, the top two vote-getters will be on the November ballot. Your vote counts.

If you need to register to vote or change your registration, call (206) 296-VOTE (8683). Do it now!

In Federal Way you will be voting on the contested races for: King County Executive, Port Commissioners, Court of Appeals Judge, City Council, Municipal Court Judge and South King Fire and Rescue Commissioner.

If you are interested in learning about issues of interest to you, the League welcomes you to join and participate in our discussions. Call the League office at (206) 243-7161 or Barbara Cornwall at (206) 870-2042 for membership and meeting information.
