The Federal Way Education Association has taken an active role in making sure that quality leadership is elected to the Federal Way School Board.

Prior to the election, all five board candidates participated in an extensive interview and survey process with the Association’s Candidate Interview Committee, consisting of teachers and educational support professionals.

After careful consideration, it was determined that these candidates were most closely aligned with the association’s ideology, especially regarding the various new state mandates including Common Core Standards, the new teacher/principal evaluation system, charter schools and the professional role of educators in making appropriate academic and principled decisions.

We believe these candidates will best serve our Federal Way students, staff and community.

The Federal Way Education Association is pleased to approve the following endorsements for the two school board director positions.

For director position 1, the association has endorsed Geoffery McAnnalloy.

For director position 4, the association has endorsed Carol Gregory.
