I am writing to encourage people to consider voting for Shari Song for state senator (for the vacancy left by Sen. Tracey Eide). Song is a lifelong Democrat and sees transportation and education as priorities.
This makes so much more sense than her opponent who is busy worrying about what a woman does with her body. I very much appreciate a quote of Song’s, “Unlike my opponent, I believe a woman has a right to make her own reproductive choices. I want the government to stay out of our private lives.”
For the last two years, Senate Republicans have stalled any progress on the transportation bill. We certainly don’t need another Republican who might very well do the same. If Democrats are to take back the majority, we need to elect Shari Song.
