Why do I think it is so important that all citizens of Federal Way get to vote to elect our Federal Way mayor, and not just four or five people who are on our council? They have appointed a mayor from the Federal Way City Council for years. Why? Some council members have been there for 12 years or more. We need new blood! We need change!

I have gone before the city council for many years with issues from our neighborhoods and the city. I have been asked many times to even run for office. At the council meetings, we only get three minutes to speak and then it’s “Sit down.” But we never get any answers. That is not right!

Again, shall we elect a mayor who will represent us, the citizens of Federal Way?

Or do we have to get our help from attorneys — or call Jesse Jones?
