Cascadia MedTech Accelerator strongly endorses Jack Dovey for re-election to position 5 on the Federal Way City Council.
Over the past three years, the city has benefited immensely from Dovey’s vision, leadership and no-nonsense approach to business and economic development. He was the lead, driving force that resulted in the formation of Cascadia Medtech Accelerator. This economic development platform was created by grants endorsed by the city council, with leadership provided by Jack Dovey, in order to bring medical technology businesses to Federal Way.
Since the formation of Cascadia MedTech Accelerator just one year ago, over 40 companies have considered Federal Way as a potential location for their operations. Absent the proactive work of the accelerator, it is highly unlikely that any of them would have considered setting up shop here. Of the 40 companies, four are currently utilizing the accelerator as their virtual headquarters, and we are working diligently to move at least a portion of these companies’ operations permanently to Federal Way.
None of this would be happening without Jack Dovey’s leadership and without his gaining city council support for this project. Dovey’s energy, ideas and leadership are critical in order to ensure the future pay-off of this investment in Federal Way’s economic future. We should return Jack Dovey to the council for a new term in November.
