I’m disappointed by the low school ratings in Federal Way compared to other nearby cities, such as Kent and Auburn, when I look at Great Schools and School Digger websites.

Those sites assign a score of 1-10, based upon public information taken from schools and other public sources. No wonder the real estate values don’t compare well in Federal Way. Our schools are rated with some of the lowest in the state. Any real estate agent will tell you schools are very important to a healthy community and healthy real estate market.

Our mayor needs to focus on this and get to the bottom of such low ratings and go to work for property owners who pay larger and larger taxes! Someone has to be accountable. My taxes went up by a huge amount … this is not equitable.
