Carol Gregory is the right choice for schools | Election letters

I have to say that I am very disappointed in your endorsement of Medgar Wells for Federal Way School Board Position 4 "because of his lifetime of hands-on experience in schools as a teacher, principal and administrator."

I have to say that I am very disappointed in your endorsement of Medgar Wells for Federal Way School Board Position 4 “because of his lifetime of hands-on experience in schools as a teacher, principal and administrator.”

Carol Gregory not only has more education experience as a teacher, administrator, associate to the superintendent of public instruction (OSPI), and president of the state’s largest teachers union, the WEA, but she has more public school experience.

Medgar Wells is a private Christian school administrator. He was a private Christian school teacher. His children attend private Christian schools in Seattle. When Medgar Wells was in the Seattle Public Schools system, they fired him and paid him off to leave early, according to a news article in the Seattle Times. Did you ask yourself why a private Christian school teacher/parent/anything has an interest in our Federal Way Public Schools?

I believe it is an important question to ask and I am disappointed that you did not see fit to do so before making, in my opinion, the wrong endorsement choice for our schools.

I do hope our voters look deeper than you saw fit to do, and make the right choice — Carol Gregory — for school board position 4.
