I am lucky to have spent the last 13 years as a student of the Federal Way school district. As a senior at Thomas Jefferson High School, I often look back at the teachers and experiences that have molded me into the individual I am today.

The upcoming levy is something that affects students like myself directly. This levy provides opportunities for each of the students in this district to grow, learn and better themselves.

It is support like this that allows our district to produce a nationally recognized math, speech and debate team, or a state champion soccer or track and field team.

We are able to achieve absolutely amazing accomplishments simply because of our incredible teachers and students. Supporting this levy is yet another way to grow our already great district. Although I will be graduating in a few months, I am so passionate about the levy because of the life changing impact education has had on me.

Teachers have spent hours with me before and after school to make sure I succeed. I have been given the opportunity to travel this country through school programs. The resources given to our school district through this levy may not affect me, but they will go directly to changing the lives of others.
